The EDP program has 2 available paths : a product design path with product design and development assignments and an operations path with assignments on manufacturing and supply chain. The EDP program is the premier entry point in SPX for either product design engineers or manufacturing engineers who have recently earned a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil / Structural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines.

The EDP program begins in June or January of each year and positions are available in numerous locations throughout SPX.
The EDP rotations provide significant exposure to the business unit's senior management team and engineering leaders, in addition to company executives and corporate leaders. Rotations are designed around a business unit's specific needs along with objectives unique to each engineer.
