SUMMARY

Within our results-only work culture that’s rooted in mission & service, the Development Coordinator provides support to the development function including volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and marketing through the fostering meaningful relationships with teammates, donors, volunteer applicants, partner NPOs, and third-party vendors. Successful work is directly measurable through goal attainment, fundraising, and volunteer recruitment.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Job Title: Development Coordinator

Location: Lawrence, KS

Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Bachelors preferred

Starting Salary: $43,000 - $45,000 DOQ

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development team and assist with work related to individual, corporate, and special event related fundraising and recruitment efforts.
  • Support the development team’s work to cultivate donors, raise funds, and plan and execute fundraising and recruitment special events.
  • Assist with tracking and evaluating results from development work and projects.
  • Provide weekly and monthly progress reports for fundraising and special events.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with program staff to develop inspiring match stories and information on waiting Littles for presentations and social media.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • HS Diploma Required; college experience or degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance required.
  • Experience in recruiting, fundraising, or sales is required.
  • Persuasive written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Motivated and self-driven to meet goals.
  • Excellent public speaking skills and ability to facilitate presentations.
  • Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to collect data and use data analysis to identify solutions.

SPECIFIC TEAM/LOCATION/INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTPUTS

( x ) Work with Area Director to develop fundraising strategy

( x ) Plan and execute fundraising events

( x ) Work with businesses to develop and execute business fundraisers

( x ) Develop network of donors for corporate sponsorships and individual giving

( x ) Work with Area Director to implement monthly giving and planned giving strategies

( x ) Help identify local grant opportunities

( x ) Identify and create additional fundraising opportunities, i.e. raffles, merchandise sales, etc.

( x ) Input and maintain accurate and up-to-date records in volunteer and/or donor database system(s)

( x ) Develop & maintain lists of potential volunteers for events and manage event scheduling, as needed

( x ) Develop and deliver marketing materials under the guidance of the KSBBBS Marketing Director

( x ) Manage local social media platforms and content

( x ) Focused work, assignment, and specialization in volunteer recruitment

Salary : $43,000 - $45,000
