PURPOST OF JOB : Teach, Motivate and assess new and experienced student authors at the secondary level (High School)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Teach creative writing at Paseo Academy
- Teacher must demonstrate ability to inspire, critique, and evaluate new and experienced student authors.
- Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school
- Assigns lessons and corrects homework
- Maintains discipline in classroom
- Meets with parents to discuss student progress and problems
- Participates in faculty and professional meetings, education conferences, and teacher training workshop
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
This job requires that the employee be able to : sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers; bend, stoop, lift objects of at least ten pounds. Job requires the employee occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Visual ability requires mono and color vision, close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
