JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Lead Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing / splicing conveyor belts and installing related industrial conveyor component products. You will be based in Kansas City, MO. Hours vary per job.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical component installation, efficient in lap and finger splicing, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in installing conveyor equipment.
- 6 years experience in heavyweight belt installation and vulcanized splicing, efficient in Lap & Finger.
- Ability to lead projects.
- Knowledge of conveyor system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites frequently. Overnight travel is required. (Per Diem while traveling)
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, & nights when around-the-clock support is required.
- Willingness to respond and support unplanned customer emergency breakdowns.
- Provide on-call assistance as required.
- Physical ability to work in a field installation environment, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, engineering drawings, specifications, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Fluent in reading and writing English.
- Must have the technical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer.
- Ability to use multi-hand and power tools associated with conveyor installations.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and pick up items weighing at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, operate a forklift and scissor lift, and practice proper safety per OSHA standards.
