Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Integrated Care Project Evaluator serves the Kansas Quality Division by providing support to the Project Manager in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on activities related to both Promoting the Integration of Primary and Behavioral Health Care (PIPBHC) grants being operated by KDADS. This individual will work with contracted centers, the Association of Community Mental Health Centers of Kansas, Community Care Network of Kansas, KDADS, and other stakeholders to develop outcome criteria needed to demonstrate effectiveness of initiatives at increasing access to services and reducing overall acuity of care needs. This individual should have a strong understanding of public health, ideally have familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and familiarity with the safety-net system in Kansas.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Data Collection
The incumbent will collaborate directly with the Association of Community Mental Health Centers of Kansas and the Community Care Network of Kansas to collect any and all data related to the two Promoting the Integration of Primary and Behavioral Health Care (PIPBHC) grants. This includes any required data by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), ensuring data is collected in a timely manner, and ensuring data is properly input into SAMHSA’s Performance Accountability and Reporting System (SPARS). The data includes, but is not limited to: National Outcome Measures (NOMs); Infrastructure Development, Prevention, and Mental Health Promotion (IPP) Indicators; and data required to demonstrate the efficacy of both grant programs.
Data Evaluation
As part of data collection, the incumbent will work with the CCBHC Business Analyst to assist centers in evaluating collected data to better understand the social determinants of health (SDoH) represented by the participants, improving the screening, intervention, and referral processes within participating centers, and reporting on key outcome measures to SAMHSA.
The incumbent will work with the Business Analyst to understand and put in place outcome measures that allow for clinics to track effectiveness of interventions provided through the Grants on reducing acuity of need and increasing access to needed services across the programs.
Training for Providers
In collaboration with the Project Manager, the incumbent will work with providers contracted to provide services under the grant to understand needed data for demonstration of implementation of grant activities, developing outcome measures, and expanding provider understanding and utilization of data.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree (experience and learning equivalent to an Associate’s Degree may be considered)
- Experience working with non-profit entities
- Experience working in partnership with or for FQHCs, RHCs, CMHCs, CCBHCs, FQHC look-a-likes, or similar community-based organizations
- Minimum 5 years experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data
- Must have prior experience working under a Federal Grant (either through contract with a Grantee or as a Grantee themselves)
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including system design, reporting, and pulling data out of EHR systems
- Minimal travel as needed
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience working with state or federally funded community-based organizations
- Knowledge of behavioral health services in the State of Kansas
