Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The position (K0246528)
The position is open to internal KDHE DHCF employees.
Lead KDHE’s efforts to implement the Transforming Maternal Health (TMaH) model. Partner with the Division of Public Health in duties directing and overseeing the implementation of the Kansas Perinatal Quality Collaborative (PQC) led Alliance for Innovation on Maternal (AIM) Health patient safety bundles. Required to meet timelines and activities as outlined in grant application to ensure Kansas remains in compliance with requirements of grant.
Liaise between community-based partners, KanCare managed care organizations, hospital systems, health clinics, and birth centers to provide training, technical assistance, billing support, quality assurance assistance, data collection, monitoring, and project management to TMaH stakeholders. Lead and collaborate with payor, provider, and community-based organization workforce recruitment plans. Conduct in-person travel throughout the model test region and the state of Kansas.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Serve as the state’s single point of contact for the TMaH grant program with the CMS Project Officer and technical assistance contractor/coach. Ensure necessary reports and documents are submitted to CMS in a timely manner.

Qualifications
- Education:
- High School, GED
- Licensing & Certification:
- Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience supervising staff
- 2 years of previous experience overseeing grant or project work
- Previous experience working with stakeholders, providers or state officials
- Ability to create professional reports and presentations, including PowerPoint presentations
- Experience with public speaking
- Ability to travel in-state as needed
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Proofreading, editing, attention to detail
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
