Full Job Description
Kansas Diabetes and Endocrinology, an independently owned and expanding Diabetes/Endocrinology practice has an immediate opening for a full-time Certified/Registered Medical Assistant.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year's experience in a medical office setting. Must have the ability to multi-task, have excellent communication skills and a strong working knowledge of electronic medical record system. Able to work in a fast pace clinic.

Responsibilities
- Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Medical Scribe (60%):
Accurately document patient encounters for the physician in real time during clinic visits.
- Ensure medical notes meet documentation standards for clarity and completeness.
- Assist with maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Front Desk Support (10%):
- Occasionally assist with patient check-in, check-out, and scheduling appointments.
- Answer phone calls and provide general administrative support.
- Clinical Support (30%):
- Perform vital signs checks on patients.
- Administer vaccines
- Dispense oral medications following prescriber orders.
- Assist with patient-related paperwork, including medical record requests and prior authorizations.
- Facilitate coordination of care, including managing referrals and medical records.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Degree in medical assistance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
