Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 annually 

Regular, Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Manhattan, KS (onsite) -  This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work environments

You’ll focus on major gift fundraising, cultivating and stewarding gifts of $50,000 , while collaborating with a passionate team that shares your commitment to excellence.


What You'll Do:

  • Make qualification calls and visits to identify, cultivate, and steward donors
  • Solicit major gifts with confidence and recognition of donor generosity
  • Collaborate with development colleagues to create strategies for donor engagement and solicitation
  • Maintain meticulous records of donor interactions and proposals in Salesforce
  • Travel to meet with donors and manage multiple high-impact relationships effectively

Requirements

To excel as a Development Officer in this role, you’ll need:

  •  2 years full-time, transferrable experience in positions that were metrics focused, requiring measurable output and relationship building 
  • A proven ability to call, conduct face-to-face appointments, manage relationships, and present proposals effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills, including engaged listening and the ability to inspire diverse audiences
  • Comfort presenting materials in one-on-one or group settings with poise and professionalism
  • A self-motivated and service-oriented approach, with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals
