We welcome motivated, enthusiastic, talented people to join our team! The Waypoint Lounge is an eSports venue created to meet the need of dining and entertainment. It includes a restaurant and bar. The lounge not only includes esports gaming but also a board game area.

Summary: The Waypoint Assistant Manager is a full-time position reporting to the Operations Manager of Waypoint Lounge.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Liason for rentals and events. Coordinate with customers and Waypoint to create an organized, well-planned, and executed experience.

· Keep track of inventory and place orders when Operations Manager is out

· Manage day-to-day staff and scheduling/attendance issues

· Coordinate with Operations Manager

· Handle customer service issues

· Close out POS at end of day and make deposits of income cash

· Open and close venue and manage floor

· Handle general staff functions as needed

· Coordinate with contacts for rentals and parties during events

· Give guests venue tours

· Assist Operations Manager in running or hosting tournaments

· Ensure staff are following procedures

· Work as a team, pitching in where the Kante Group/Waypoint Lounge team needs support.

Qualifications

· Passion for gaming, boardgames, and esports

· Event Planning experience a plus!

· Willing and desire to work an inclusive environment

· Willingness to learn

· Casting/Tournament organizing experience

· Customer service experience

· Previous management experience

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Tech savvy (PC and console focus preferred)

· Willingness and desire to work in an inclusive environment

· Strong work ethic

· PC/console experience

· Desire to grow in gaming industry

· Hospitality degree or experience a plus!

· Previous work in esports

Working Conditions:

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL: This position may require occasional lifting and carrying of objects up to 40 pounds. Duties are performed in a gaming and restaurant/bar setting. Regularly required to use a computer keyboard, mouse, monitor, and desk top telephone. Regularly required to reach, talk, listen, interpret, and communicate, both verbally and in writing. Frequently required to stand for extended periods of time, frequently required to walk in and around desks, tables and kitchen areas. Vision is expected to be at a level proficient for reading and viewing monitors and other hardware components. Vision is also expected to see details involved with cleaning. Works in a professional environment and in gaming areas with possible high stress levels.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
