Job Overview:
The Ice Cream Clerk's responsibilities are to create memorable experiences for our guests by providing excellent and prompt service, menu knowledge, and working with team members to ensure a timely and smooth customer experience. You will be expected to educate customers on ordering platform and menu items, use the Point of Sale system and fulfill orders at the ice cream bar including to-go orders.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Health, safety and food compliance: Knowledge and enforcement of health, and safety laws/protocol. Keeping an up-to-date and food handler license
Money Management: Accurately and efficiently handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
Preparing ice cream creations: Responsible for understanding and executing prep work for all creations. Understanding and following recipes provided for all menu items. Keeping ice cream bar properly stocked for service.
Customer Service: Holding or developing good task and time management skills. Keeping a positive, professional, and engaging attitude. Keeping a professional appearance, and practice of good hygiene. Always provide excellent customer service and product to ALL guests.
Organization/ Cleaning: Responsible for all opening and closing duties, weekly cleaning duties, and side work. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment throughout each and every shift.
Working Conditions: PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL: This position may require occasional lifting and carrying of objects up to 35 pounds. Duties are typically performed in a fast paced, moderate volume restaurant environment. Regularly required to use a computer keyboard, mouse, monitor, and telephone. Regularly required to reach, talk, listen, interpret, and communicate, both verbally and in writing. Frequently required to walk/stand for extended periods of time, up to 100% of a normal work shift. Vision is expected to be at a level proficient for reading and viewing monitors and other hardware components. Restaurant environment of possible high stress during times of higher volume.
