The feed mill employee is responsible for customer service, feed production, recordkeeping, maintenance, and for providing maximum service to members and patrons. Additional responsibilities include promoting company and branch location employee cohesiveness through effective communication, teamwork, shared services, and by following safety policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
Presents a clean and professional appearance
Responsible for prompt and regular attendance
Ability to work a variable schedule including: days of the week, shifts and hours per week (overtime as needed)
Must comply with all state and federal laws, codes and regulations
Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements
Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management
Establishes and maintains excellent rapport with customers & serves customers by promptly assists walk-in customers as needed in a respectful, and professional manner
Responsible for inventory counting and recordkeeping
Sacks feed, loads and unloads grain trucks
Ability to pay close attention to detail and accurately document/track information for recordkeeping and compliance
Continually maintains facility and equipment cleanliness to ensure safety and required standards are met
Maintains current feed knowledgeable of all feed products and services and properly mixing feed and drugs
Employee is required to perform all other duties as assigned
