This position offers the opportunity to oversee the successful operation of the Byers location while supporting the agriculture industry. The location manager is responsible for supervision, marketing and education, profitability and sales, reporting, inventory, service and dispatching, safety and maintenance relevant to the agronomy and grain business, providing maximum service to members and patrons, and overseeing the successful operation of the location. This position requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Occasionally it requires lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.
As a Location Manager, primary responsibilities include:
· Directly supervises the employees at the location
· Serves customers by promptly responding to customer inquiries, questions, and/or complaints in a prompt, respectful, patient, and professional manner
· Effectively and professionally leads employees and takes initiative to manage positive patron service
· Manages daily operations of the location including grain, farm store, energy and/or agronomy by coordinating activities of location such as operating, planning, inventory, sales, recordkeeping and maintenance
· Responsible for being knowledgeable of all products and services and exhibits ability to demonstrate to customers their uses
· Provides consulting services and product options to producers
· Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals
· Analyzes location budget to identify areas in which reductions can be made
· Implements housekeeping, maintenance and other safety programs required by the grain handling standards
· Promotes agronomy seed, fertilizer and chemical products
