Principal Responsibilities:
The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is looking for qualified swim instructors & lifeguards to join our team for Summer 2025! The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Instructors will teach campers during instructional swim periods as per the American Red Cross guidelines; Camp will run Mondays through Fridays, 9am-3pm for the period June 23- August 15
- Ensure the safety of patrons in and around the pool
- Observing and enforcing all aquatic policies, rules and regulations
- Recognizing and responding efficiently in emergencies
- Participating in monthly staff in-services
- Providing excellent customer service
- Other duties as assigned
- Part-time, hourly $17-20/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must hold valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- Swim instructors must have experience, WSI preferred
