Kaprikorn is Hiring a Cloner!
Kaprikorn is a family-owned and operated recreational cannabis company based in Oregon, with a nursery in Lowell and an indoor cannabis facility in Eugene. We are looking for a full-time Cloner to join our team at the nursery location in Lowell!
We are also looking for a part-time flex team member for the the same location, the part-time position will likely start with plant work in the greenhouse and then learn cloning.

Role Overview: Cloner
Our Cloners play a critical role at Kaprikorn Nursery by creating our product—clones! This position involves cutting, processing, and poking clones into rockwool at our nursery. Cloning is an active role that takes place in a warm greenhouse environment. You’ll have the opportunity to work with your hands, staying active throughout the day while meeting achievable daily goals.

Work Schedule:
- Full-Time Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5 days per week)
- Anticipated Part-Time Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 pm (24-30 hrs per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Cutting clones off mother plants
- Processing clones
- Poking clones into rockwool
- Pruning plants
- Cleaning and maintaining workspaces
Additional Duties May Include:
- Assisting the grow teams at our Lowell or Eugene locations with plant work, sorting clones and preparing orders, working on Google sheets, packaging, cleaning, deliveries, or other tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience with plants is a plus
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and professionalism
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Must be 21 years or older and eligible for an OLCC worker permit
Important Note: Oregon experiences wildfires during summer, which can create smoky conditions. In severe cases, employees will be required to wear respirators in compliance with OSHA standards.
Physical Job Requirements
Standing, Sitting and Walking:
- Ability to stand and/or sit up to 8-10 hours per day.
- Ability to walk or move around frequently, including down narrow aisles.
Lifting and Carrying:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to lift heavy objects from floor to waist level and from waist level to shoulder level.
Repetitive Movements:
- Physiological capability to perform sustained repetitive work for 8-10 hours a day on every workday.
- This includes repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements, including gripping, grasping, and fine motor tasks, and also repetitive bending, twisting, and reaching motions.
Manual Dexterity:
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to perform precision tasks.
- Ability to manipulate tools and equipment with precision.
Postural Requirements:
- Ability to maintain various postures for extended periods, including sitting, standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
- Ability to perform tasks while in awkward or static positions, such as reaching over.
Strength and Endurance:
- Adequate physical strength to exert force repeatedly without fatigue or ergonomic injury.
- Stamina to perform physical tasks continuously without experiencing undue fatigue.
Coordination and Balance:
- Good balance, athleticism and coordination to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
- Ability to safely climb and balance on 10-foot ladders.
Sensory Abilities:
- Adequate vision (with or without corrective lenses) to see details up close and at a distance.
- Good hearing ability (with or without hearing aids) to detect and respond to sounds and alarms.

- $17 per hour to start, this will be reassessed after 3 months of employment. Long term employees make up to $25/hr
