Job Duties
- Adjust, calibrate, and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper pressure, speed, temperature, and general operation.
- Change screen filters.
- Operate cranes, move rolls.
- Examine visually, weigh, and measure components created from equipment at the end of the week to ensure machines are producing according to company and industry regulations and standards, adjusting as needed.
- Read and understand a work order/ item specification sheet and follow the instructions as printed
- Work with team members, shift supervisors, and all necessary personnel to take care of complications as they arise.
- Communicate with fellow team members to learn of any equipment problems or malfunctions and take care of them as they come up.
- Use regulated cleaning solutions, grease guns, oil cans, air hoses, and cleaning cloths to properly maintain and clean equipment, maintain oil levels, and vacuum checks.
- Make repairs to equipment when necessary, and replace all defective, broken or worn-out components. Be prepared to access machine parts that may require to become dirty
- Choose and install cutters, molds, and all other necessary equipment parts so machines are always operating at peak efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an Extrusion Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is a plus.
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety protocols, and production schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
COMPENSATION:
Up to $18/hour DOE. Health/Dental/Vision benefits are available after passing a three-month probation period. 401(k) available after the first year.
