Due to growth-driven expansion of its Commodity Solutions group, Karbone is seeking a Middle Office Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Support the North American and European Commodity Solutions teams in the operations, settlements, and risk management of transactions across all traded products, including Renewable Energy Credits (RECs,), US Renewable Fuels & RINs, UK/EU Guarantees of Origin (GOs/REGOs), UK/EU bio-certificates, etc.
- Ensure accurate and timely trade capture, validation, and confirmation within internal and external systems at every step of the transaction process.
- Manage the full contract cycle, including client onboarding and credit review, generating transaction documents and agreements, and monitoring document execution and accuracy.
- Facilitate timely and accurate invoicing and product delivery to clients and from vendors, coordinating with relevant internal teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, maintaining direct communication with clients, vendors, and counterparties.
- Work collaboratively across teams to address evolving business needs, contributing as a thought partner in documenting and refining policies and procedures.
- Research and stay up to date on relevant compliance requirements, ensuring all transactions and processes adhere to current regulations and internal policies.
- Work with internal Risk team to build and maintain econometric and statistical model.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Environmental Studies, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of work in middle office, trade support / operations, market risk, or a related area is required.
- Familiarity with energy and environmental markets, particularly in North America and Europe highly desired
- Excellent communication skills and outstanding attention to detail are essential.
- Advanced Excel skills, including dashboard creation, data analysis, and complex formulas (e.g., index-match, nested if statements); experience with other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Programming experience in Python, R, VBA, or similar languages is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite) and trade capture systems is preferred.
The base salary for estimated is estimated to be $70-90K to commensurate with experience. Total compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package and bonus eligibility.
