Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to staff, ensuring that all IT systems run smoothly. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot various hardware and software issues across different platforms.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT issues, providing support for hardware, software, and network-related concerns.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, etc.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop systems, servers, and peripheral devices.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical problems and provide clear solutions.
- Maintain documentation of support requests and resolutions for future reference.
- Coordinate with external vendors for 3rd party services.
- Collaborate with rest of IT and cybersecurity team to improve processes and ensure high availability.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of new IT systems and projects.
Experience and Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience) is mandatory.
- Proven experience in an IT support role or help desk environment (healthcare or regulated industry a plus).
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Experience with both Windows Server and Mac OS platforms is highly desirable.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of networking protocols and hardware (switches, routers, VLANs, firewalls)
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Net , Cisco, Microsoft are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
