Job Summary
Karing Hearts Home Health Services is a home health company located across
Southern California. We are seeking experienced Certified Nurse Assistants and Caregivers to provide various personal care services in the home health setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The nursing assistant and caregiver are responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed. Run by nurses, Karing Hearts seeks to provide individualized, compassionate, and quality care to our patients.
Pay: Certified Nursing Assistant starting at $20/hour; Caregiver starting at $17/hour; Bi-Weekly.
Hours: Flexible, Evenings and Weekends available.

Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a nursing assistant program.
Experience: A few months to one year of related experience.
Certification as a CNA preferred.
Certified in CPR.
Licensed driver with automobile and auto insurance.
Ability to speak and write in English.
Able to lift 35 pounds.
Travel to patients homes.

Responsibilities
Provides patient care as directed by the Director of Patient Care Services or Registered Nurse Supervisor.
Turns or repositions bedridden patients.
Provides physical support to assist patients to perform daily living activities.
Reviews patients' dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure patient receives appropriate diet.
Measures and records food and liquid intake or urinary and fecal output, reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.
Records vital signs, as directed by medical or nursing staff.
Gathers information about patient condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities.
Observes or examines patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention.
Documents or otherwise reports observations of patient behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.
Reminds patients to take medications or nutritional supplements.
Feeds patients or assists patients to eat or drink.
Supplies, collects, or empties bedpans.
Undresses, washes, and dresses patients who are unable to do so for themselves.
Changes bed linens or makes beds.
Support good skin care.
Perform light housekeeping.
Provide transport to doctor appointments, outside activities and shopping (when needed with approval from Karing Hearts).
