Vice President of Product

Position Summary
The Vice President of Product is a key leadership role at KARM Stores, LLC, responsible for overseeing the solicitation and receipt of gifts-in-kind, the transportation and storage of this product, and optimizing the monetization of this product through retail or wholesale channels while protecting the organizational health of the company. This position focuses on leading, developing, and caring for the Directors of Transportation, Warehouses & Sorting, and Operations Support, ensuring they are empowered to achieve operational goals, foster team alignment, and uphold the mission of KARM Stores. The Vice President of Product and Vice Presidents of Process and People play a pivotal role in driving excellence, cultivating leadership, and supporting the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and inspire the Directors of Transportation, Warehouses & Sorting, and Operations Support.
• Foster a high-performing and collaborative leadership team by cultivating a culture of trust, open communication, and shared accountability.
• Invest in the professional growth of Directors by providing ongoing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
• Build leadership capacity within the organization by identifying and developing high-potential individuals for future leadership roles.
• Empower Directors to achieve operational goals while upholding the mission and values of KARM Stores.

Product Strategy & Operations

• Oversee all aspects of product acquisition, handling, and monetization, including:
• Solicitation and receipt of gifts-in-kind: Develop and implement strategies to maximize product donations.
• Transportation and logistics: Optimize transportation routes and ensure efficient and timely delivery of donated goods.
• Warehousing and sorting: Manage inventory effectively, ensuring proper storage, handling, and quality control.
• Product monetization: Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue from donated goods through retail and wholesale channels.
• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the effectiveness of product operations.
• Continuously analyze and improve product flow to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Champion the implementation of best practices and operational standards throughout the product lifecycle.

• Uphold and promote the mission of KARM Stores, ensuring all operations reflect the organization’s values and purpose.
• Serve as a spiritual leader and mentor, encouraging the integration of faith into leadership and daily operations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience, including multi-site retail or operations management.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and coach high-performing teams.
