S UMMARY
The Composites Manufacturing Engineer II supports designs through the design-development cycle and into production with emphasis of design producibility, manufacturing process development and support, and oversees the transition of product to production including follow on support. The manufacturing engineering role is pivotal in developing methods of manufacture, work instructions and production line operations to ensure product quality is built into the final product. The Manufacturing Engineer II position is focused at supporting engineering and manufacturing activity while continuing to build essential skills and experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Tooling design, certification, and maintenance for new or existing products including tolerance analysis and CTE
- Develop manufacturing work instructions to clearly define manufacturing processes for composites fabrication, inspection, trimming, and assembly.
- Perform engineering drawing review and provide final approval for manufacturing.
- Define and document inspection gates and supporting initial production
- Perform root cause analyses when non-conformances and escapes are identified and deploy corrective actions.
- Resolve complex manufacturing defects and eliminate root cause
- Define and support repair and rework activities.
- Preferred experience with ERP and material management tools
- Closely monitor part quality trends and define process improvements.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (engineering, operations, and quality) to efficiently build parts on schedule
- Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree
- Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude required, hands-on engineering experience in a fabrication and assembly shop environment is desired
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams
- Familiarity with basic material properties, in process verification and validation
- Must be a U.S. Citizen

Salary : $85,000 - $104,000
