Summary
- The Composites Manufacturing Engineer III will be required to formulate conceptual designs of challenging, complex aerospace products to meet all customer system requirements. Responsibilities to include but are not limited to: determining complex bill of materials, sequence of assembly, selection of required equipment, solving production problems, analyzing current manufacturing planning processes, designing/reviewing necessary tooling, creating manufacturing document, and developing working relationships with a multi-disciplined team of people .
- 5 years of previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or composite design required
- Experience with aerospace composite manufacturing methodologies – autoclave and press molding experience are a plus
- Experience on designing molds, assembly fixtures, machining fixtures, or other tooling used for composite processing
- Hands-on oversight of the day-to-day status of assigned projects to ensure team objectives and customer requirements are met.
- Review customer drawings and specifications to evaluate them for producibility and economic factors relating to product design and fabrication costs and preparing solutions for co-engineering products with customers.
