Composites Engineer - Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a Composites Engineer with expertise in machining, composites manufacturing, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, production, and business development teams to deliver high-quality composite solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Machining Expertise : Strong experience with CNC milling & lathe operations for composite and metal components.
- Composites Manufacturing : In-depth knowledge of carbon fiber, fiberglass, epoxy, urethane, and honeycomb materials and fabrication processes.
- Tooling & Process Development : Design and optimize tooling, layup, curing, and bonding processes for composite parts.
- Quality & Inspection : Ensure compliance with industry standards and conduct material / part inspections using advanced measurement tools.
- Customer & Client Engagement : Collaborate with the VP of Business Development to communicate technical capabilities and project updates to customers.
- Proposal & Quoting Support : Assist in generating technical proposals, cost estimates, and manufacturing feasibility assessments.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work with design, R&D, and production teams to develop innovative composite solutions.
- Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement : Drive process improvements in machining, manufacturing, and assembly operations.
- Industry Standards & Compliance : Ensure adherence to AS9100, ISO, or other relevant industry standards.
- Project Management : Manage technical aspects of customer projects from concept to production, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness.
