SUMMARY:
The Senior Purchasing Agent is responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. The Sr Purchasing Agent evaluates vendors’ quotes and services to determine the most desirable supplies. This position requires a responsible purchasing agent who can adapt in a fast-paced Aerospace manufacturing company.

Compensation & Benefits:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Confident use of Epicor ERP systems
- Research analyzes and forecasts current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products with attention to specified target markets and demographics.
- Understanding of Aerospace drawings. (First Article, GD&T)
- Understanding of Bill of Materials
- Develops and maintain relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
- Negotiates contracts with wholesalers and suppliers.
- Assesses financial risks of purchases.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have prior buyer experience in Aerospace industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of DFAR federal regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Background knowledge of cost of raw materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
