Hardware Design Engineer – Mixed Signal Board Design
Qualifications:
Kasmo Global is hiring a Hardware Design Engineer with solid hands-on experience in mixed-signal hardware board design, circuit layout, and board-level testing for a medical device project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analog/digital circuit design and be involved in the entire hardware development cycle—from schematic to validation.
- Design and develop mixed-signal PCBs used in embedded medical systems.
- Create schematics and collaborate with layout engineers on board layout.
- Perform component selection for analog (op-amps, sensors) and digital (MCU, communication ICs) circuitry.
- Conduct bench-level bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
- Execute hardware validation tests ensuring signal integrity and system reliability.
- Document hardware test procedures and results according to medical standards (IEC 60601).
- 2–4 years of experience in hardware design, specifically mixed-signal board design.
- Strong hands-on skills in schematic capture and working with PCB layout tools (Altium, OrCAD, or Cadence).
- Experience with analog signal conditioning, low-noise analog design, and digital interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART).
- Skilled in testing/debugging hardware prototypes in a lab environment.
- Familiarity with medical device hardware compliance (preferred but not required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Strong understanding of circuit design fundamentals and hardware validation processes.
