Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Services Consultant Level 3 to join our team. This role involves hands-on experience in designing and deploying network infrastructure within industrial environments, including process automation, discrete controls, and automated manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in networking, virtualization, security concepts, and industrial automation systems. This position requires flexibility to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support converged manufacturing/industrial network architectures based on business strategies and end-user needs.
- Develop and deploy solutions in virtual environments, including PLC, Networking, and SCADA design/programming.
- Assess, design, and implement complex network systems, with a focus on Ethernet protocols, particularly EtherNet/IP.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams, clients, and vendors.
- Provide consultation to anticipate customer needs and offer strategic solutions.
- Write detailed documentation, including customer requirements, system specifications, issue remediation plans, and implementation strategies.
- Recommend and implement network infrastructure enhancements and configuration changes.
- Ensure secure manufacturing architectures and adherence to industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues within an industrial environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. If no degree, 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Control Systems, Network Engineering, or Industrial Security Controls is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in industrial networking.
- Prior experience with full project life-cycle implementations within large, multidisciplinary teams.
- Legal authorization to work in the country of job posting.
- Ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in configuring IT/OT network infrastructure.
- Experience with Cisco switches, virtual server environments, Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto firewalls, Fortinet Fortigates, and Anti-Virus software.
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems, controls, and troubleshooting.
- Experience designing and implementing iDMZ and wireless network solutions.
- Recognized network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, VCA, VCP, NCP-MCI, Cisco INS, GICSP.
- Understanding of NIST 800-82, NERC-CIP, IEC-62443 standards.
