About the Role
We’re looking for a Finance Operations Specialist to support our growing accounting function. This role is primarily focused on accounts payable but also plays a key part in keeping our financial operations clean, efficient, and audit-ready. If you're detail-oriented, organized, and want to contribute to meaningful work in a mission-driven company, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Process incoming invoices and manage payment workflows.
- Match purchase orders and receipts with appropriate approvals.
- Prepare weekly check runs and initiate ACH/wire payments.
- Maintain organized AP files, vendor records, and payment history.
- Reconcile accounts payable balances and assist with month-end close.
- Serve as point of contact for vendor inquiries and billing issues.
- Support finance team with documentation during audits and reporting cycles.
What You Bring
- 3 years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or finance support.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (or similar accounting tools).
- Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Great communication with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Bonus: Experience in construction, solar, or trades-related industries.
