Responsibilities
- Designing packaging materials that meet those needs, factoring in such as product safety, cost efficiency, and environmental impact.
- Testing packaging to ensure it can withstand various conditions, such as temperature changes, transportation, and storage.
- Collaborating with suppliers to source the materials needed for packaging designs.
- Developing prototypes and conducting tests to assess the functionality.
- Identifying areas for improvement in packaging solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with drug regulatory bodies and environmental compliance regulations.
- Support packaging equipment installation, start-up, debugging, commissioning, qualification, troubleshooting and maintenance efforts.
- Minimum of three (3) years of packaging engineering related activities in the aseptic fill/finish pharmaceutical (GMP) manufacturing industries.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field from an accredited curriculum.
- Holds at least one industry certification or certificate such as: CPP, CP, PEC.
- Analyzing the needs of the product and the user to determine packaging requirements.
