Bakery Decorator Job Responsibilities
Katella Deli is seeking a skilled Bakery Decorator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and decorating cakes, pastries, and other baked goods to meet our high standards.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare cakes, pastries, icings, fillings, and other necessary items for decorating.
• Setup, ice, and decorate all sizes and shapes of cakes from start to finish.
• Design cakes for special occasions, following clients' specifications and requests.
• Decorate cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods for display and sales.
• Inspect finished bakery products according to Katella Deli's quality standards, weight, and presentation requirements.
Requirements:
• Minimum three years of previous pastry/cake decorating experience.
• Possess a California Food Handlers card.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks in a pressurized environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are helpful but not required.
• Ability to read recipes, safety documents, and other work-related materials.
