Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with young children. As a Daycare Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of each child in your care. We are an in home childcare facility with a preschool setting.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.
- Monitor and document children's progress, behavior, and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Provide care for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive interactions among children.
Requirements
- Experience in daycare or childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
- First aid certification is requiered in the first 3 months of hire
- Strong with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children and parents alike.
- Ability to create a classroom environment that encourages learning and growth.
- A nurturing attitude and patience when dealing with young children.
