Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within our clinic. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will assist our Optometric Physicians in various clinical tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary examinations and tests on patients.
  • Accurately document patient medical histories and maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
  • Provide education to patients regarding their eye health and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and clinic efficiency.
  • Utilize an electronic health record systems for patient documentation and scheduling.
  • Support the clinic's retail operations by applying retail math skills when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or in a similar medical office role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to healthcare.
  • Ability to work effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
