MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from a radiography program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiological Education (JCERT).
- Current registration as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or, if not registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, hold current registration as a Radiologic Technologist from the ARRT.
- Must have a minimum one (1) year experience working a high-field MRI scanner environment (1.5T or higher).
- Must have three (3) years of MRI experience in an active clinical environment within the last five (5) years.
- Must be able to perform and have extensive experience, minimum two (2) years, with the following complex MRI studies: Body; Musculoskeletal (MSK), and exams using patient monitoring devices.
- Must have more than two (2) years of Breast and Breast biopsy experience preferred but not required.
- Must have experience performing venipuncture.
- Must have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross. This certificate must be current at all times.
- Must obtain and maintain the site's required health screening and immunization requirements.
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Ensure proper preventive and corrective maintenance for the MRI scanning unit.
- Shall respect a patient's right to refuse the examination. If the patient does not want the procedure performed, the patient's wish shall be respected, and the incident logged in the scanner logbook and brought to the attention of the attending radiologist.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL:
All Market contractors are subject to working at a duty location at any of the Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) or associated sub clinics within the Colorado Military Health System (CMHS).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily indoors at a well-lit military treatment facility such as a clinic, outpatient facility or hospital. The environment is normally air conditioned, but conditions may change dependent upon circumstances. Work may need to be performed in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and rapid judgements. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of clients in differing functions, personalities and abilities. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids, latex, radiation or other contaminants and safety issues. May be exposed to infection or diseases from contact with patients.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, speaking, or translating. Periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 30 pounds. Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. - Pay is: $41.53 - $46.46 per hour.
