Activities Director
Location: Greenville, SC
Job Description:
The Activities Director is responsible for overseeing the activity programs of residents in our memory care community. They will work closely with management, caregivers and families to ensure that residents receive the highest quality of life enrichment and care possible.
Responsibilities:
- Prior to admission, review the Resident Lifestyle Profile
- Train and educate staff on memory care best practices
- Schedule and facilitate the ASAP program that incorporates life skills and focuses on appropriate stimulation
- Monitor and assess residents' physical and cognitive health on a regular basis and report any noticed changes
- Provide emotional support to residents and their families
- Ensure that the memory care unit is in compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Be on our on call weekend rotation
- Collaborate with other departments within the senior living community to provide a holistic approach
- Assist in transporting residents to out of community activities and appointments
Requirements:
- Complete in house training
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with memory impairments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Valid SC drivers license
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
