What are the responsibilities and job description for the Greenhouse Construction Crew position at Kaw Valley Greenhouses?
We are looking for individuals to work on setting up our temporary greenhouse and shade structures. Which means working at our various retail locations across Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. You will be driving our 26ft box trucks.
This requires working with a crew of 2 to 4 other people. Carrying large metal frames, climbing ladders and operating power tools.
Most days you will be able to return home but occasional overnight travel is required, (company paid hotels). Overnight stays will be a couple of nights in February/March and possibly a couple toward the end of June).
Position also requires filling in as a Delivery Driver.
Reporting location is 360 Zeandale Rd. Manhattan, KS
Seasonal position working February - July 1st.
Essential Responsibilities
- Preparing structure materials.
- Loading structure materials.
- Going on site to set up greenhouse structures.
- Making deliveries of products to stores.
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Must be 19 years or older.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have clean driving record (No more than 5 speeding tickets, No DUI's, MIP's or other substance related infractions)
- Must be able to pass DOT physical.
- Must be able to pass Drug Screening.
- Must be able to operate a 26ft straight box truck.
- Must be able to bend/stoop repeatedly for several hours.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly for several hours.
- Must be able to operate basic power tools.
- Must be able to stand for several hours.
- Must be available for 7 days a week anytime of the day.
- Must be willing to travel out of town.
Position pays $20/hr
