The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records and bookkeeping for our financial lending operations. Familiarity with the specific accounting practices related to financial lending companies is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, yet work well in a team environment.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
- Highly organized, with ability to demonstrate attention to detail, multi-tasking and good recordkeeping.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
- Quick learner who can apply new job-related information.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Provide support during audits and prepare audit schedules as required.
- Utilize accounting software and tools to maintain financial data and generate reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Previous experience in accounting for retail finance or related financial services is mandatory.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial lending company or related industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Experience with accounting standards for loan loss reserve.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Research and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on-site at our Foothill Ranch, CA office.
- Familiarity with the specific accounting practices related to financial lending companies is highly preferred.

Salary Range:
$70,000 - $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
