Kawasaki Motors Retail Finance is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Title Administration Manager to oversee the perfection of motor vehicle titles and manage all aspects of title administration for Kawasaki Motors Retail Finance. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with state DMV regulations, managing electronic and paper title processes, and interacting with dealers and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in title administration, DMV processes, and customer service. This position will report to the Senior Group Manager of Servicing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Title Perfection & Compliance:
- Oversee the perfection of motor vehicle titles, ensuring compliance with state DMV regulations and company policies.
- Manage the timely and accurate processing of titles, including electronic and paper titles, lien placements, and lien releases.
- Stay updated on changes in DMV regulations and implement necessary adjustments to title processes.
DMV Interaction & Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for state DMVs, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of title-related issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with DMV representatives to facilitate efficient title processing.
- Resolve complex title issues, including discrepancies, errors, and delays, in collaboration with DMVs and internal teams.
Electronic & Paper Title Management:
- Oversee the management of both electronic and paper titles, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Implement and maintain best practices for title storage, retrieval, and tracking.
- Ensure the secure handling and custody of titles, maintaining proper documentation and audit trail.
- Dealer Interaction & Support:
- Work closely with Kawasaki dealers to address title-related inquiries, issues, and requests.
- Provide training and support to dealers on title processes, requirements, and compliance.
- Collaborate with dealers to resolve title discrepancies and ensure timely title delivery to customers.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of title administration specialists, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Process Improvement & Reporting:
- Continuously evaluate and improve title administration processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor title processing times, accuracy, and compliance.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and opportunitie.
- Audit & Compliance:
- Ensure all title administration activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address findings.
- Maintain robust internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure operational integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Knowledge of DMV regulations, title perfection processes, lien management and UCC filing
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in title administration, preferably in retail finance, powersports, automotive finance, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of the motorcycle industry and dealership business model.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies.
- Experience managing electronic and paper title systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skill
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in title management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis.

Salary range: $100,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
