Education
Required: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Business or accounting courses at the college level
Experience
Required: One year of financial accounting or accounts payable experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Ensures that all efforts provide value to and meet the needs of departmental customers. Consistently operates as a productive member of a fully-supportive and cooperative service department. Understands the importance of customer service and readily identifies departmental customers and their needs. Directs all efforts to meet customer needs in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. Constantly strives to enhance and add value to individual and departmental efforts through increased efficiency, productivity and quality.
Reviews and processes incoming invoices via USPS, GHX system, email ingestion, or accounts payable general email inbox. Processes invoices and supplier invoice requests (SIR) with appropriate invoice number and invoice date to ensure invoices are paid by the due date and according to payment terms in order to maximize allowed discounts. Researches and processes all credits and adjustments with supporting documentation. Reviews and researches supplier statements in accordance with the applicable departmental AP measurements.
Works collaboratively to resolve invoice discrepancies or differences with supplier personnel, Kaweah Health leadership, and (or) Materials Management staff as necessary. Reviews purchase order invoices and works with Materials Management staff as necessary to resolve any issues or discrepancies so that invoices can be released and paid timely.
Processes payments utilizing the Commercial Credit Card for assigned suppliers. Collaborates with Kaweah Health leadership to compile the internal supporting documentation and approval required for payment of invoices. Reconciles commercial card transactions by the end of each month.
Ensures supplier contact information is up to date. Submits supplier contact information changes, as needed, to ensure payments are mailed to the correct address.
Submits payment void forms as necessary and in accordance with departmental AP policy and procedures.
Responds timely to all emails and phone inquiries. Performs all duties above within expected timeframes, without excessive error or deviation from policy, and with adherence to Kaweah Health behavioral standards of performance. Under the direction of the Finance Manager and/or Accounts Payable Supervisor, assists with training of new Accounts Payable personnel.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay Range
$20.00 -$30.00
