Manages day-to-day operations and long-term planning of clinical services in collaboration with medical providers and patient care teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
License /Certification
Required: Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.
Education
Required: High school diploma
Preferred: Bachelors degree in business or related Healthcare management
Experience
Required: Three years management experience in a specialty care setting (inpatient and/or outpatient) or equivalent experience
Preferred: Experience in clinic operations or experience in practice management

Responsible for department practices, operations and flow in coordination with the surgical and procedural areas.
Develops and monitors productivity metrics.
Responsible for establishing and updating written policies and procedures.
Collects clinical, financial and regulatory information and helps develop plans and proposals for new clinic consideration.
Develops and/or assists with preparing and managing budgets, and preparing invoices for the department.
Continuously assesses and improves operations as it relates to goals, quality standards, and patient satisfaction in coordination with clinic management.
Responsible for effectively handling patient complaints, patient problem solving, patient intervention, and patient service recovery.
Ensures providers are effectively supported in the delivery of medical care.
Follows through with applications of new programs for clinical services.
Prepares the discussion topics, agenda, and trainings for the monthly business meetings in coordination with management.
Acts as the clinic expert and is the resource person for Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.

IF ASSIGNED TO ANESTHESIOLOGY RESPONSIBLE FOR:Partners with the recruitment team in the recruitment and onboarding of anesthesia providers. Develops with appropriate personnel new anesthesia clinics as need arises. Coordinates anesthesia staffing and operations with the department of surgery, Cardiovascular surgery and other departments as identified.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
