Job Summary
This role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and enhance operational efficiency. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in purchasing and supply chain management, with expertise in negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Procurement Strategies: Create and implement procurement plans that align with business objectives, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier development.
- Manage Supplier Relationships: Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality products, and competitive pricing. Conduct regular performance reviews and negotiate contract renewals or revisions as needed.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities into overall business operations.
- Analyze Data and Develop Insights: Utilize data analytics tools to identify trends, optimize procurement processes, and inform strategic decisions.
- Maintain Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, minimizing risk exposure through proactive monitoring and mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain management, with a proven track record in negotiation, budget management, and team leadership.
- Certifications: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Skillset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with procurement software.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
