Title: Chemical Antenna and EPR Advocacy Consultant
Location: Ann Arbor, MI OR Washington, DC
Remote/On-site/Hybrid: Hybrid (Standard, Mon-Fri, 8 AM to 5 PM local time; Should work on-site at least 2 days a week.) Ann Arbor (Tue/Thu); Washington, DC (Mon/Tue)
Working hours: Standard, Mon-Fri, 8 AM to 5 PM local time.
Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension
Education: Nice to have (bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience)
Overtime: Potentially
Travel: at most 10%, Washington, DC facilities
Experience level: 2 years or more
IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidate will be working in an office environment and won’t be using any industrial/manufacturing equipment or dealing with chemicals substance by hands.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities:
- Surveil, Analyze, and summarize the critical material or chemical substance related regulation and legislative activity.
- Coordinate the surveillance and broadcast of critical material or chemical substance related legislation and regulation to the business.
- Create and distribute Chemical Regulatory Notices (CRN) or “news alerts” to key internal stakeholders.
- Input regulatory/legislative summaries into internal company software.
- Using various tools, coordinate the tracking of substances being pursued by local and global regulatory or legislative bodies throughout the regulatory/legislative timeline.
- Potential future collaboration with other Client global affiliates, such as in Canada.
- Occasional special projects may be requested, depending on available time.
Qualifications: A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working with consumer products industries, especially complex durable goods industries.
- Working knowledge and understanding of global material or chemical substance regulations and legislations which may impact the auto industry.
- Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills, such as issuance of reports to communicate technical matters to stakeholders.
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), adobe acrobat
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Problem solver with a customer-first approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
