Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the Engineering Project Leader for the new Battery Manufacturing greenfield construction project in North Carolina.
- Develop and review criteria for the design of buildings, including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical aspects.
- Provide technical support to North American Manufacturing Centers in building design and construction, while developing and maintaining building-related standards.
- Coordinate and lead efforts for industrial buildings and related systems (HVAC, air compressors, boilers, chillers, etc.) as technical support for local facility groups at each site.
- Utilize experience in plant planning, project management, construction, and building design to ensure projects meet quality, cost, schedule, and safety KPIs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and consensus-building to support customer needs.
- Prepare and report detailed project status reports to stakeholders.
- Participate in, conduct, and lead engineering studies as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
- Experience in building design and construction, particularly with industrial buildings and related systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as Project Lead for Model Change, Equipment Installation, or Building Construction (5 years preferred).
- Experience with one or more of the following: industrial mechanical systems (piping, chilled water, compressed air, etc.), industrial power systems (switchgear, power distribution systems, 480VAC and higher), controls (PLC, networking systems, Building Management Systems, Variable Frequency Drive), and general construction (concrete, steel, civil work).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Added Bonus If You Have
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- Project management experience for industrial construction projects.
- Experience in industrial structural steel systems and large-scale civil installations.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License.
- Experience with Project Management software such as MS Project, AutoDesk Build, Primavera, ProCore, or similar.
