The Yahoo Brand Creative Team is a band of designers, writers, coders, photographers, videographers, strategists and producers obsessed with dreaming up new ways to bring brand goals to life with big ideas, bold creative, and a good laugh or two along the way. The pace is fast and pivots happen, but we always emerge with campaigns, websites, event experiences, social, stunts and more that make an impact and win space in our portfolios.
The department spans the gamut from consumer campaigns, events, B2B initiatives and employee programs. But this role specifically supports the Yahoo core brand and products like Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Shopping and Yahoo News.

What we're looking for
Our Creative Team is looking for an Art Director with a strong conceptual background, a love of innovation, and an obsession with brilliant design.
As part of your responsibilities, you'll need to understand and employ best practices for various digital campaigns, as you take a hands-on approach to concepting and executing creative. It can be a demanding role, that takes you from beginning to end of a project, but is highly ownable and rewarding.
We'd love a proactive mindset combined with self-motivation, in hopes you can spot opportunities and jump on them immediately. You'll also have to balance that
independence with an ability to collaborate with multiple teams across multiple brands, work
hand-in-hand with the consumer marketing team, creative team and sometimes outside
agencies.
Key Qualifications:
3-5 years of Design / Art Direction experience (agency or client side)
Fluent understanding of major design applications and best practices
A killer creative portfolio demonstrating excellent conceptual skills, strong craft and experience with digital campaigns. Punchy, simple work that catches your eye.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
Pixel-perfect eye for design and experience in executing large campaigns
Creative, kind, positive, empathetic, curious
Collaborative, flexible, accepts and manages feedback well
Illustration skills are a bonus
