A warm, busy family in Rockville Centre is looking for a full-time nanny to care for their newborn son and assist with their energetic toddler after school. They are seeking an engaging, nurturing, and proactive nanny who can join them for the long term and truly become part of their family.In August, the nanny’s focus will primarily be on caring for the newborn while the toddler remains in daycare. Beginning in September, the toddler will attend UPK from 9:30 AM–2:30 PM, and the nanny will provide care before and after school. Flexibility is needed for occasional school pickups and drop-offs depending on the parents' work schedules.
Responsibilities:
✔️ Full-day care for the newborn, including developmental activities, feedings, naps, and transitioning to solids
✔️ Morning and afternoon care for the toddler before and after school
✔️ Driving to/from UPK program; family car available for use
✔️ Planning engaging activities, outdoor play, and creative games (minimizing TV time)
✔️ Light tidying of common areas and children's spaces
✔️ Assisting with lunch, snack, and meal prep for the children
✔️ Supporting a smooth daily routine with high energy, creativity, and patience
✔️ Comfort and interaction with the family's friendly rescue dog
Requirements:
✔️ Prior full-time nanny experience with both newborns and toddlers
✔️ Verifiable references
✔️ Must be dog-loving and comfortable around larger rescue dogs
✔️ Must have a valid driver’s license (family car available)
✔️ Engaging, proactive, and energetic personality
✔️ Comfortable working in a home where mom works remotely several days a week
✔️ Looking for a long-term role (ideally a few years)
