KBF by Audi Contractors is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Lead to oversee and manage on-site project execution in collaboration with the Construction Director. This role requires a highly organized individual who can coordinate technical details, ensure materials and resources are in place, and serve as the bridge between design plans and on-site implementation.
The Project Lead will be responsible for ensuring all design layouts are properly implemented in the field, taking accurate as-built measurements, and updating Buildertrend with job site progress. Additionally, this role involves working closely with inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and ensure high-quality craftsmanship in every phase of construction.
Key Responsibilities
Field Management & Layout Execution:
- Manage and implement design layouts on-site, ensuring accuracy in execution.
- Conduct thorough as-built measurements and adjust layouts as needed.
- Communicate with subcontractors and field crews to ensure they understand project specifications.
- Ensure high-quality craftsmanship by closely monitoring construction standards and finishing details.
Material & Logistics Coordination:
- Verify that all necessary materials and supplies are at the job site before work begins.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to resolve material shortages or delays.
Job Site Oversight & Inspections:
- Ensure the job site is properly prepped and organized before work begins each day.
- Meet with building inspectors to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Assist the Construction Director in troubleshooting any issues that arise on-site.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout each phase of the project to maintain superior craftsmanship.
Project Documentation & Reporting:
- Take and upload before-and-after photos of job sites to Buildertrend for documentation and client records.
- Track and report any job site issues, delays, or changes that require attention.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe job site environment.
- Ensure proper communication between designers, project managers, and field teams.
- Assist with other construction-related duties as needed by the Construction Director.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years of experience in residential construction, project coordination, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and blueprint reading.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on the fly.
- Experience using Buildertrend or other project management software is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
