Job Description:
KBI Technologies is seeking experienced brick masons to join our masonry crews in commercial, industrial, and institutional environments. The position involves building and repairing walls, fireplaces, and other structures using brick, terra cotta, precast masonry panels, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials.
Responsibilities:
· Estimate the materials needed for each job.
· Utilize equipment and tools to safely perform basic construction tasks.
· Identify and correct safety hazards, reporting them to the Foreman.
· Read and interpret technical drawings.
· Train apprentices as needed to ensure timely project completion.
· Mix cement and mortar on-site as required.
· Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be experienced and proficient in the following:
· Tuckpointing
· Stone masonry/repair
· Masonry cleaning
· Brick/block laying
· Caulking
· Blueprint reading
· Experience in joint sealants (preferred but not required)
Additional Requirements:
· Comfortable and experienced working on scaffolding, swing stages, and boom lifts.
· Familiarity with scaffold erection.
· Proficiency in measuring and mixing mortar and grout to specifications.
· Reliable transportation.
· Ability to pass a standard drug screening.
