What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at KBP Brands?
KBP Brands, a leading franchise company in QSR, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. You will play a vital role by ensuring accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, this position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to the success of our organization.
What You'll Do :
- Perform financial statement reconciliations and analyze key data trends.
- Manage the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items, transaction errors, and discrepancies.
- Analyze balance sheet fluctuations and provide variance explanations.
- Research accounting standards and document technical accounting matters.
- Assist with external audits and prepare quarterly and annual reports.
- Reconcile and report on 1,000 leased properties, including rent calculations and intercompany leases.
- Oversee facility improvement and capital project spending, including reconciliation and reporting.
- Prepare cash flow statements and provide insights into variances and company results.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial information to meet deadlines.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting systems and processes.
- Support additional projects and tasks assigned by the Assistant Controller.
