KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented IT System Administrator to join our team supporting a government client in Virginia. In this role you will be part of the acquisition management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, install, upgrade and configure data systems.
- Administer operating systems and maintain basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.
- Perform assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.
- Display core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.
- Manage multiple IT vendors to ensure completion of IT projects in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least 2 years of directly related IT experience. A High School Diploma and an additional 5 years of directly related IT experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Security Certification
- Requires knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP networking principals in a Microsoft Environment to include network topologies and transmission media
- Provides technical support for Microsoft Windows 2012/Win7 and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN troubleshooting.
- Experience with IT support tools, ticketing systems, and remote desktop applications.
- Experience in an enterprise IT environment or supporting large-scale systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following security protocols.
