**Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To:**
The incumbent will provide assessment and diagnosis of both acute and chronic illnesses, which necessitates consultation with other healthcare professionals both within and outside the facility. The role includes prescribing medications, treatments, and medical devices, as well as issuing prescriptions for non-scheduled legend drugs in accordance with the Kentucky Revised Statutes. The individual will also provide cross-coverage in the absence of the medical director and colleagues.
The position requires the performance of physical and/or psychiatric examinations and preventative health measures, adhering to the guidelines and instructions set forth by the supervising physician. Responsibilities further encompass conducting annual reviews, discharge planning, summaries, and psychoactive drug regimen evaluations as facilitated through pharmacy services.
In addition, the candidate will offer counseling and education to patients and their families concerning treatments, diagnoses, and end-of-life considerations. Participation in medical and nursing committees is expected where appropriate, along with attendance at multidisciplinary team meetings and medical staff assemblies.

**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):** Candidates must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse and hold licensure with the Kentucky Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Additionally, a national certification in a designated nurse practitioner population focus is required.
**Schedule:** The position entails 8-hour shifts, with a call requirement of 1-2 weeks per month. The incumbent will conduct routine and follow-up visits and perform duties typical of family medicine and primary care responsibilities. The role includes coverage for paid travel and expenses.
Pay: $115,798.00 - $125,156.00 per year
