The duties and responsibilities of a BIM Specialist include but are not limited to :
- Aid in the development, implementation, and management of BIM standards, processes, and protocols.
- Coordinate BIM efforts across various disciplines, including architecture, structural, and MEP engineering.
- Assist project teams with model creation, maintenance, and quality control.
- Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and clients to align BIM workflows.
- Model management and administration ensuring a healthy BIM database
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices.
- Lead BIM coordination meetings for spatial coordination of disciplines, including gathering of all discipline’s BIM models
- Deploy project templates and ensure team adheres to them
- Must be able to manage multiple projects at a time
