KBW Financial has partnered with a manufacturing company located in the Billerica, MA area to identify an Accounting Supervisor. This newly created role will be responsible for GL and day to day accounting matters. This is a division of a much larger organization with upward mobility.
About you – you must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or Finance, with a minimum of 8 years of corporate accounting experience. You must reside within the greater Billerica area to be able to go into the office one or two days a week. You need to have a solid foundation in GAAP accounting in a large global organization with a can-do attitude.
The position is responsible for the following:
The Senior Accountant is a key member of the finance and accounting team and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and records. This role involves a combination of accounting, financial analysis, and often takes a lead role.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.
- Lead or assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries and financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are readily available and audited in a timely manner.
- Working knowledge of ASC606
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. Prepare and submit tax returns and provide support during tax audits.
- Utilize and maintain enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and financial software to manage financial data and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Eight or more years of accounting experience, with a focus on progressively responsible roles.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
