- Salary: $90K-$95K base bonus
- Reports to: Assistant Controller
- Manages: 1 direct report
- High-volume, fast-moving environment (30 locations, 800 employees)
- Experience with vendor negotiations and extended credit terms is valuable
- Cash flow management expertise is crucial as the company is optimizing funding strategies
- Proficiency in NetSuite preferred; experience with Chase 360 (bill pay system) is a plus
- Strong process improvement mindset
- Oversee all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices.
- Supervise and mentor AP staff, providing guidance on best practices and performance optimization.
- Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and resolve any outstanding payment issues.
- Partner with internal teams across finance, procurement, and operations to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Manage cash flow related to payables, optimizing payment timing and controls.
- Conduct reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Drive automation and process enhancements to improve the AP function’s accuracy and scalability.
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting.
- Assist with audits and financial reviews related to accounts payable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least five years of AP experience, including two or more years in a leadership role.
- Strong working knowledge of AP best practices, financial controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Comfortable working in a high-growth, evolving environment with competing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
